Research themes

The Initiative will be focused around five generic research themes that complement current multidisciplinary excellence within the college. Each theme will be lead by an experienced academic coordinator:

  • Imaging and sensing

  • Bio-molecular manipulation and biomaterials
    Coordinator: Professor Pankaj Vadgama - IRC in Biomedical Materials and the School of Engineering and Materials Science
  • Multiscale mechanobiology
    Coordinator: Professor Dan Bader - School of Engineering and Materials Scienceand IRC in Biomedical Materials
  • Regenerative medicine and tissue engineering

  • Modelling in bioengineering and medical science
