Research themes
The Initiative will be focused around five generic research themes that complement current multidisciplinary excellence within the college. Each theme will be lead by an experienced academic coordinator:
- Imaging and sensing
Coordinator: Professor Jim Elliott - Dental Biophysics, Barts and the London, Queen Mary's School of Medicine and Dentistry - Bio-molecular manipulation and biomaterials
Coordinator: Professor Pankaj Vadgama - IRC in Biomedical Materials and the School of Engineering and Materials Science - Multiscale mechanobiology
Coordinator: Professor Dan Bader - School of Engineering and Materials Scienceand IRC in Biomedical Materials - Regenerative medicine and tissue engineering
Coordinator: Professor Ian Mackenzie - Institute for Cell and Molecular Science, Barts and the London, Queen Mary's School of Medicine and Dentistry - Modelling in bioengineering and medical science
Coordinator: Professor Wen Wang - School of Engineering and Materials Science
